We've lived here for years and, although we're foreigners, we already feel like locals in Liberia and know a thing or two about Guanacaste: we're happy to give you good advice about the area and about Costa Rica in general.

Live like a Liberian
At Casa Buda you'll experience staying in the home of foreigners living like Liberians. We know the area well enough to give you good advice on what to do, where to go and what time to avoid traffic — and who knows, we might even end up sharing a coffee and a morning chat.
Hosts always close
This is our home, and being hosts is a role we truly enjoy. We always try to have one of the three of us available to help or guide you with whatever you need. We care about every detail, from the towels and sheets we choose so you feel truly comfortable, to giving you your space: even though it's a shared house, you'll have your privacy.
Our dogs
Our dogs usually roam around the house and sometimes come inside. If you'd rather not have them close, just let us know and we'll gladly keep them away.
Calm, natural surroundings
We hope you enjoy the yard, the trees, the birds and, every now and then, a monkey passing by. It's a good place to slow down: take a Pilates class with Raquel, enjoy a relaxed stay and, of course, excellent coffee.

Your room
Your room is inside the main house, surrounded by nature. You can enjoy the garden, kitchen, dining room and living room, plus the Olea Studio Pilates studio by appointment, sharing the common areas with us and other guests.
Check-in
From 3:00 p.m. Depending on your arrival time, we'll welcome you in person.
Check-out
Before 11:00 a.m. Message us a few minutes before you leave.
Gate
It doesn't close on its own. If Bruno and Donna slip out when you open the gate, don't worry — just leave it open and they'll come back on their own.
Shared spaces
Kitchen, garden, parking and other common areas.
House rules
No smoking · no parties · extra guests pay an additional fee · please don't flush paper or sanitary products. Pets depend on the stay: check the Airbnb listing.
On-site Pilates studio
Olea Studio
On the Casa Buda property there's a Pilates Reformer studio run by Olea Studio. Classes aren't included in your stay, groups are capped at 5 people, and they're booked via WhatsApp to secure your spot — tell Raquel you're a Casa Buda guest. You can also message her on Instagram.
