From the airport to Casa Buda

• By taxi or Uber

  From Guanacaste International Airport, a taxi costs about $20 in a regular vehicle, and up to $30 for more than 4 passengers or large luggage such as surfboards or bikes. Uber usually costs $10-$15, though it can be scarce right outside the airport; within Liberia it works very well.

• By bus

  The airport-to-Liberia bus runs about every 30 min and costs around $1.50. Tell the driver your stop is Barrio Capulín. We recommend letting us know your arrival time or following the route on Google Maps so you don't miss the stop.

  Barrio Capulín, 300 m west of Escuela Laboratorio John F. Kennedy, 150 m north and 25 m east, at the end of the dead-end street, brown gate on the left. Find us on Google Maps or Waze as “Casa Buda Liberia”.

  Works great in Liberia and for nearby trips: Rincón de la Vieja, Pozas Los Coyotes, Playas del Coco, Playa Hermosa, La Ponderosa Adventure Park and any other destination fairly close to Liberia. Uber Eats also works very well for food delivery. Other apps include Pedidos Ya and Didi.

• On foot

  You can walk to Bar La Piscina, the Corvin mini-market, Walmart (about a 15-min walk) and Plaza Santa Rosa (a small shopping center with several restaurants, banks, other services and shops), about 20 min away.

• Terminal Pulmitán de Liberia

  Buses to San José, Playas del Coco, Upala, Las Juntas and Aguas Claras. Tel: 2222-0610

• Terminal Municipal de Liberia

  Next to the Municipal Market. Buses to Tamarindo, Flamingo, Nicoya, Santa Cruz, Playas del Coco, Playa Panamá, Playa Hermosa, Puntarenas and the airport. At the Barrio Capulín stop you can catch buses to the beaches and the airport.
